It was with deep sorrow that I read of Larry's passing[Dad(Louis Unsworth)also passed away in the early hours of December 21st., 1989] in a Christmas letter from Uncle George in early January. I am so very sorry Judy & family, especially at Christmas time. But, at the same time, I am overjoyed at your elation that Larry is , indeed, in his eternal home in Heaven. One year after our daughter, Michelle, passed away so very suddenly, I gave my life over to Our Saviour in Heaven. I now know the two reasons for your glowing, smiling countenance when you & Auntie Ellen would visit your Dad at the Hanna Nursing Home: your intense faith & relationship with both Larry & Jesus!! I did not know Larry well, but I shall always remember his quiet, gentle prescence in the background during those visits. His last few hours with you on this earth most assuredly portrays your undying devotion to, & romance with, each other, after all these years. Yes, Larry is again standing tall & painfree; he is also smiling lovingly & proudly down on each & every one of you!! May God bless & be with you all, now & always.

Dear Judy â?? you may not remember us, but when Don and I moved to Cranbrook from Terrace with our three children at Christmas, 1989, we started attending the Cranbrook Alliance Church. We didnâ??t know anyone there but Gary and Shirley Toyota as they were originally from Creston where Don and I were born and raised. You and Larry were part of a group that invited new comers to events. We had the privilege of being invited to your home one winter evening and I remember so well your husbandâ??s sense of humour and graciousness to a couple who were going through some tough times. I will always remember that event and Larrry and your welcome and acknowledgement to us at church on Sundays. Our condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.Don and Sandy Ballard

Though we were separated by miles we remained best friends. We are sad for the loss of a wonderful man but rejoice that Larry is safely at home with a loving God. May the God of all comfort be with the family until we are all reunited again in heaven above. That is the hope we have as followers of Jesus Christ.

After almost 40 years of knowing someone with the hgihest of morals and grestest integrity I will feel a personal loss of one of if not the best friend I ever had. Our most treasured times of when Penny and I had the opportunity to golf with Larry, who even when I hit it into the rough never said it was a poor stroke just an unfortunate mistake. Of a man who always had time to meet me at the Husky truckstop and go for lunch. To a man whom I could ask a personal question regarding financial planning but never made me feel obligated to follow his directions. To a Granpa that thought his little grandboys were the most special people in the world. To a man that endured more in a lifetime than most can comprehend but never complained. When asked how are you today? Larry always said he was great. Larry put forth values to an end that we do not often get to see.We extend our sympathies to all the family during this time and with God's blessings will be able to cope with your loss.

It is with much sadness that I learned today that Larry has left us for now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.I first met Larry at the College in a night class I attended that he taught. I will always remember his patience with me, as a young girl fresh out of high school with so many other things on my mind, than sitting in a night class. If I could, I would thank Larry for his encouragement of me to focus on the tasks at hand, which certainly are traits I try to still carry with me today.

Larry was a quiet and generous man with a big heart, and was truly a 'good' man. He loved his family dearly and was so very proud of all of them. He had a very deep and abiding faith in his Lord. Rest in peace, dear brother in law.....till we meet again.

Larry you have always been such a gentle soul who graced our home in 1970 and 1971 and then wisked my roommate off to be your beloved wife. Judy and you had a magnificent marriage. You worked through all problems, celebrated all joys and through is all, were so faithful and enchanted with one another. What a blessing to have experienced. Larry you are in God's loving hands now and we know we have another angel to guard over us. God bless your family in this time of grief. You will be missed. love, Betty
