Obituary of Vera Mary McLeod

1928 - 2010

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Vera Mary McLeod announces her passing on Monday, March 29, 2010 in Kimberley, British Columbia at 81 years of age.

Vera was born on May 6, 1928 and worked for several years at the Kimberley Museum. She also enjoyed her time spent at her bridge club. Vera liked having company, and she also enjoyed cooking, gardening and photography.

Vera will be greatly missed. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Wendell Lee McLeod; her son Jack (Penny) McLeod; her grandsons Scott, Trevor and Keith; and her great grandsons Ethan, Eliza and Nathan. Vera was predeceased by her brother John Jr.

The family would like to invite anyone who remembers Vera to a memorial tea in her honour which will take place at the McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A private family Interment will take place at a later date. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Instead, please consider making a memorial donation in honour of Vera to the charity of your choosing.
