It’s hard for me to write this. Papa was one of if not the biggest male role model in my life. I remember him telling me story's about his life every time I was with him. My first bear with my grandfather was when I was five, he always drank Pilsner beer with Clamato juice. One day I wanted a beer so he gave me a full one. My mom lost it when she came home. It’s one of my favourite memories. I’m going to miss you papa thank you for the amazing twenty one years of life you spent with me. My biggest role model. The one I wanted to make proud the most. I love you. I miss you. Rest well. I hope you see Harvey ( his imaginary rabbit fried). You’ve touched so many people in your life. Mine the most.

Growing up I hated wearing socks and Papa would alway get after me to put socks on, now I always wear socks even in the summer. Papa also complimented me on my hands and finger nails. He would tell me that he thought red nail polish was the best for pretty hands and nails, now I always wear red. I love you Papa

Over the years I learned so much from you, even when you thought wasn’t listening, I was. You helped me learn to not take this world so seriously and that some of the most simple things can bring great joy. I will always remember why you like otters, it’s cause they are always doing as the otter. You will always be loved and dearly missed

We shared so many fun times with Albert and Carol. We recall our Nelson trip through that backroad, wondering how many people lived in "Pullout", the the Albert came home from work one night and just after getting into the hot tub, a visit from the skunk who took forever to leave. Albert always had us in stitches. We are so grateful for all the Love and special friendship over the years. We were so lucky to have had Albert in our lives. We will miss him so very much. May he now rest in Peace

I will never forget how happy you were when Darmon and I dropped off Bailey to you. The love you had for all your dogs over the years was something else. We wanted her to bring you so much joy. I will miss all your outlandish stories, especially when you had me hanging on to every word as you were "pulling my leg" . You would always chuckle once I realized it. You will always be in our hearts. I will think of you often. May you rest in peace. Love you

I admire your bravery and grace as you took on the last decades battles. Always a positive attitude, and primarily concerned with the affect on others.

A blue candle lit in his honor, his favourite colour. He was truly the best grandfather anyone could have asked for. Showing up at 8 o'clock after a 12 hr drive to see him, I always demanded his famous mashed potatoes and gravy. Even though he was tired and had long eaten dinner he would always make them. He had a metal plate in I believe his left leg, a hunting injury but the story of how he got shot and the lurking "beaver fever" always changed. He never lacked in stories, laughs and stern baby voices to his cheeky dogs over the years. I still see him in his chair on the back deck at the smurf house overlooking my grandmas fairy garden. I am thankful for every hug, all of his wise words and advice and that he got to watch me get married. I love you Grandpa, rest in peace and I will see you in my dreams when you visit ❤️
