Obituary of Barbara Joyce Harriott

With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Barbara Joyce Harriott on January 31 2023 at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook BC.

Barb passed suddenly at the age of 88 years.  Barb was predeceased by her husband Bill and son Bill Jr.  She was born in Windsor Ontario and leaves behind her son John and her daughter Debbie (Fred Waterer) both of Wasa BC and daughter-in-law Renee Harriott of Calgary.  Left to grieve her loss are her two sisters Pat of Ann Arbor Michigan and Sandee of Emeryville Ontario and one brother Elliott (Bonnie) of Leamington Ontario.  Barb leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Melissa, Toni-Lyn, Devon and Mark as well as 5 Great Grandchildren Jeremy, William, Jase, Marijah and Maxximus.

Her greatest love was swimming and was known to be the first one into Wasa Lake in the spring and last one out in the fall. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of many bowling leagues in Cranbrook. She loved to bake and cook and gave her life to her family.

Barb was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Cranbrook.

Some of her ashes will be spread at Wasa Lake and the rest interred with her husband Bill at a private celebration of her life this coming summer.
