Please share a memory of Edna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Edna Margison, age 92 passed away peacefully at the FW Green Home in Cranbrook BC.

Edna was born in Edlington, Yorkshire England to Edward and Isabella (Woodward) Burnett on May 17

Mom met Dad, John Margison, the love of her life and married him on March 26th 1950 in Thurnscoe, England.

Dad came to Canada in search of work in 1957 and Mom followed shortly after with 2 children, crossing the Atlantic by boat and reuniting with Dad. They settled in Ontario, eventually coming to BC where they spent the rest of their lives raising 5 children.

Mom was always a loving and caring mother and wife. She will be remembered for her love of spending time in her garden she had a very green thumb.

She enjoyed watching all the wildlife in her yard, feeding the birds and squirrels out of her hand. Fretting over the bears in her apple tree and Koi fish pond.

During the winter months she spent many hours mastering knitting machines and eventually giving lesson to others.

Mom loved to travel with Dad especially to Spokane, many times enjoying a good meal of seafood and crab legs and spending time at the cabin in Priest Lake Idaho with the grandkids.

Mom will be sadly missed by her 5 children Gloria, John, Angela, Wayne and Dean

11 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, 2 great great grandkids and her beloved cat Elly May

Edna will also be missed by many family and friends in England.

Mom is now reunited with Dad and they are at peace for eternity.

Celebration of life for Edna will be held in the McPherson Funeral Home Reception Room in Cranbrook on Friday May 5th 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
