Obituary of Robert Burns Revie
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness that the family of Rob announce his passing.
Rob was born May 31, 1947 in Cranbrook, BC where he attended school and started what became his career at 17 years old, working for BC Gas and retiring at the age of 55.
As a young boy it didn’t take long for Rob’s passions to take on a major part of his life, turning him into the charismatic person he was. Some of Rob’s interest were fast cars, hunting, fishing, and camping. Rob loved the wilderness. He and his brother Howard spent many trips hunting together, which in turn sparked the interest in their boys. Over the years, Rob enjoyed the annual camping trips with all the boys and their shenanigans, it always gave him stories to tell. He loved escaping the snow and being a snowbird with Wendy, watching the drag races, boating and spending time with Barb and Mike. His favourite teams were the Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Blue Jays. He enjoyed supporting the local hockey teams, both the Kootenay Ice and the Bucks and for those that knew and loved Rob as we do, you know what an amazing memory he had, which allowed him to be quite the story teller.
He was predeceased by his father Don at an early age, his beloved mother Pearl, Brother Howard and wife Cerith, Terri Revie, step children Tracy Hutchinson and Brett Taylor.
Survived by his wife Wendy, children; Barb Revie (Mike Capko), Mark Revie (Janet), step daughter; Coral (Ian) Colgur. Nephews; Don (Lorilyn) and Will (Tara) Revie.
