Obituary of Ryan Allen Lindsay

Ryan Allen Lindsay was born on September 19, 1995, in Cranbrook, B.C., as only child and passed away on December 12, 2024, in Surrey, B.C. He is remembered for his vibrant spirit and the love he shared with those around him.

 

Ryan is survived by his wife, Cortney Lindsay; his children,Domonic and Ariel; his father Bill Lindsay and Wendy; Adam, Aaron, Quin, Tylan, Keatan, and Lexy; his grandmother, Denise Patmore; his Auntie Joy and Mike, Uncle David and Colleen, Uncle Steven and Debbie and Uncle Brad; and his cousins,Emma, Tianna, Jennelle, Lindsay, James and Ashley.

 

He was predeceased by his mother, Jennifer Lindsay; his Auntie Tanya; his grandparents, Fran, Swede, and Allen; his great-grandfather Jim Shaw and great- grandmother Philomane Shaw.

 

Ryan’s love for his family and friends went to great lengths; it is without a doubt that Ryan cherished being a husband and father. Ryan and Cortney married on November 5th, 2021, in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Ryan graduated in Cranbrook and then went on to attended and completed the Culinary Arts program at the College of the Rockies before discovering his true passion as a skilled roofer. He began roofing at the age of 19 and was known for his incredible work ethic.

 

Ryan possessed many passions in life, excelling in all he undertook and achieving great accomplishments. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends, engaging in activities such as fly fishing, cliff diving, hiking, golfing, river rafting, snowboarding, and more. Ryan frequently reminisced about the cherished memories he created with his father, Bill, spending hours and sometimes days exploring the outdoors while fly fishing and river rafting.

 

Additionally, Ryan was passionate about boxing and coaching at the Cranbrook Eagles Boxing Club. An accomplished boxer since 2007, he won the Golden Gloves Boxing Medal in 2012 and later found fulfillment in coaching new members of the club.

 

Ryan has touched the lives of many and was undeniably beloved by all who met him. He is greatly missed by those who knew him. Ryan’s memory will forever live on through the lives of his family and friends who cherish him deeply.

 

May his soul rest in peace in the embrace of his mother’s love.

A Celebration of Ryan’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd, at 1:00pm, at The Dwelling Place Church, in Cranbrook. Parking will be available at the McPherson Funeral Home parking lot. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cranbrook Eagles Boxing Club
