Obituary of Albin Thomas

With deep sorrow, we share that Albin’s mortal remains reached his home in Kerala on the morning of February 22, 2025. His funeral service was held on Sunday, February 23, at 2:30 PM, and he was laid to rest at St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Cathedral cemetery in Manarcad.

During this incredibly difficult time, we, the Malayalee Association in Cranbrook, extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who stood by Albin’s grieving family with your kindness, contributions, and unwavering support.

A special note of appreciation goes to McPherson Funeral Services for their professionalism and efficiency in ensuring that Albin’s remains reached his family with care and dignity. Our sincere thanks to Lucas Branstetter and Dane Chasca for their immense help in making this possible.

We are also deeply grateful to the Malayalee Associations across North America and their office bearers for their guidance and financial support. Our thanks extend to KC Gifts (Kootenay Collections Ltd.), Albin’s employer, for their compassion in supporting his wife during this challenging time.

To all the generous donors who contributed to Albin’s GoFundMe, we cannot thank you enough. Your kindness has brought solace to the family when they needed it most.
