Obituary of Ken Messum

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kent (Ken) Messum. Surrounded by family and friends, he passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Ken dedicated much of his life to home renovations in the Calgary area. In retirement, he enjoyed relaxing at his home on the Moyie River and took every opportunity to perfect his fly-fishing skills. He also enjoyed traveling to Mexico, where he spent considerable time in recent years. Ken was cherished by many friends and family members and will be deeply missed.

Ken is survived by his children: Bradly, Kristine, and Clayton (Jen) Messum; five grandchildren: Kaila, Daivany, Dylan, Leeland, and Charlie; two great-grandchildren: Zachary and Kayson; and sisters Debra (Bob) Kitchen and Laura Messum.

He was predeceased by his spouse Carole Snow; parents James and Millicent Messum; and sister Mabel (Paul) Phillips.
