Obituary of Irene Ann Weller

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Ann Weller on February 26, 2025 in Cranbrook, B.C, at the age of 53 with her children by her side. Born on August 21, 1971 in Invermere, B.C. Irene was a cherished mother, grandma, sister, daughter, auntie and friend to many.

Irene’s greatest accomplishments were her five children and four grandchildren. She embodied a maternal figure to many. She derived happiness from creatin, beading, and transforming objects into crafty pieces. She loved planning her grandchildren’s birthday parties. She had the best imagination.

Irene possessed a heart of gold, boasting a radiant smile that illuminated any room. Her selfless nature and willingness to assist those in need were truly admirable. She was always so positive and happy, and always gave the best advice.

Irene is survived by her five children; Kierra, Sky-leigh, Shantay, Netticia, and Roy, her four grandchildren; Ethan, Zayne, Declan, and Mylah, her brother Lloyd, foster parents Theresa, Kathryn, and Dick, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Fred Weller and brother Mike Hunter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 26, 2025 at Wycliffe Regional Park at 1:00pm. Please contact one of Irene’s children if you would like to attend.
