Obituary of Fred Ferguson Townsend

With heavy heart we announce the passing of Fred Ferguson “Ferg” Townsend on April 6, 2025.

“Ferg” enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed doing carpentry, and built 6 houses in the East Kootenays. He loved his family, even if you didn’t see eye to eye with Ferg he was always there to help you.

He is survived by his daughters Dorothy Burt, and Christine Gordon, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and by his sister Lynne Drobot. 

He was predeceased by his parents Anne and Frank Townsend, and his brother Bob Townsend.

As per Fred’s request there will not be a service held at this time.
