Obituary of Clara Lena Ollenberger

An angel has soared. Born in Loon Lake Saskatchewan 1941, the youngest of six children. Clara passed away peacefully at the Cranbrook Hospital surrounded by her loving family at the age of 84 years.

She lived a full life travelling around the world with her husband Anton of 67 years and ultimately settling down back in Canada with 6 children & 2 more to follow. She loved spending time in her garden, bird watching and in her later years working with the Cranbrook Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop where she made many special friends.

Survived by her sister Elizabeth Urlacher (Zugelder) and her 8 children, Sarah (Ernie Alexander), Cindy (Jim Abar), Laura (Doug Eastman), Theresa (Jerry Thibeault), Levine (Julie) Ollenberger, Denise (Doug Irwin), Yvonne (Reg Wojnar), Adrienne (Tom Archer), 28 grandchildren and countless great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service for Clara will be held on May 10, 2025, at 11:00 am at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook, British Columbia, 2200 2nd Street South.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cranbrook/Kimberley Hospice society.
