Obituary of Bruce Stanley Fountain

Bruce was born on December 23, 1950, the youngest of 4 children from George and Marguerite Fountain. Bruce passed away peacefully in Cranbrook B.C. on April 9th, 2025. After Bruce graduated high school, he joined the RCMP. Bruce's first posting as an RCMP officer was in Cranbrook during the fall of 1971. Shortly after, Bruce met Barb and dated for 2 years, then they married in 1973. After getting married, Bruce and Barb were joined by their first son Todd who was born in 1975 and later joined by their second son Christopher who was born in 1977. Bruce and his family began their journey moving across 3 provinces for Bruce's career. Bruce promised Barb to bring her back home to Cranbrook upon Bruce's retirement in 1997. Bruce started a security company with his partner Don Stropky in Cranbrook. After Bruce took up full retirement, Bruce and Barb took up snowbirding with their motor home to Arizona, where Bruce enjoyed the warm weather, pickle balling, and not having to shovel snow.
Bruce was pre-deceased by George and Marguerite, and by mother and father-in-law, Jack and Jean Huxtable.
Bruce leaves to mourn his wife Barb, he leaves his two sons Todd (Chantal) and Christopher (Cynthia), and lastly, his grandchildren.
