Obituary of Douglas Walsh

 

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Douglas “Kirk” Walsh announce his passing on February 19th, 2025 in Joondalup (Perth area) Western Australia. 

 

Always a proud Canadian, Kirk had lived in Australia since 1972, making numerous trips back home to visit his favourite places in Nanaimo, Coquitlam, Cranbrook and especially Rosen Lake, BC. 

 

Kirk valued his family and dear friends above all else, never forgetting a birthday or special occasion with a card and a lottery ticket, just in case. 

 

He is missed by his sister Wendy (Bob), nephews Wes Rogers (Brandi), Jeff Rogers (Chelsea), niece Lisa Rogers (David) and their children Mallory, Amelia, Dylan and Nathan and numerous good friends in both Canada and Australia. 

 

By Kirk’s request, there was no Funeral Service and the family will have a private gathering at a later date.
