Obituary of Greg Binter

1926 - 2012

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Greg Binter announces his passing on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at his home in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Greg was born on March 12, 1926 in Poglantsch, Austria. He immigrated to Canada in 1953. Greg "Opa" was very proud of his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandsons Christopher and Andrew. He enjoyed living in the East Kootenays and loved the outdoors and gardening.

Greg is survived by his loving wife Mary, his son Heinz (Jane) and his grandsons Christopher and Andrew as well as many relatives and friends in Canada and Austria.

A prayer service for Greg will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook at 5:00 pm. His funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 am. His Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.
