Agnes was born on March 24, 1923 in Kronau, Saskatchewan. She met her husband, Karl, the love of her life, in Banff, Alberta. They were married in Calgary, Alberta on May 14, 1949. Shortly thereafter they moved to Fernie, B.C., where their family life began. Karl was employed in the mining industry. From BC they moved to Calgary where Karl pursued his career in transportation. Here, they raised their four children building a wonderful home together. She had many great years with her family and friends. Last year she moved to Kimberley to spend some time with her daughter. She resided at the Pines where she enjoyed the many friendships with the people she had met there.

Over the years, Agnes enjoyed working in various seniors' centres, aiding in the teaching of literacy classes and assisting in the care of the residents. She belonged to the "Red Hat Society", loved flowers, animals, crafts, pottery, gardening, baking and sewing. She was very active with the Catholic Church and the CWL for most of her life.
