Obituary of Alice E. Bjorn

1912 - 2010

It is with great sorrow that the family of Alice Bjorn announces her passing at the Kimberley Special Care Home in Kimberley, British Columbia on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 97 years of age.

Al was predecease by her husband Harry and her daughter Bonny. She is survived by her son Bob (Phyllis); 3 grandchildren: Richard (Sherry), Pat (Lisa) and Christie; 3 great grandchildren; her brother Russel; her sister Betty and many friends and relatives.

Al volunteered with Food Bank until she was 96 years of age. She loved to entertain and no one who visited could get away without having tea and coffee. Al loved to travel and was always on the go.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Al's memory on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honour of Al may do so to the: Cranbrook Food Bank Society, 104 - 8th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2K5.
