1916 - 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of Aldo Cimolai announces his passing on Friday, April 20, 2012. Aldo passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side.

Aldo was born on May 25, 1916 in Vigonovo, Pordenone, Italy and immigrated to Kimberley, British Columbia in 1950 where he was employed as a carpenter with Fabro's for over 30 years.

Aldo is survived by his loving and caring wife Elda of 65 years, daughter Alida (Marc) of Vancouver, son Andy (Kathy), grandson Adam, granddaughter Leah (Calvin) and great granddaughter Shea all of Lethbridge, Alberta. He is also survived by his brother Nello of Toronto, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews of Toronto, Italy and France. He is predeceased by two sisters and three brothers, Ada of Italy, Noemi and Giovanni of France, Leo and Odo of Toronto and son-in-law Wayne Crowe.

A special thanks to : Dr. Stuart MacDonald, the Home Care nurses, especially Valerie, and all the Home Support staff for all their care and attention.

A private family memorial service for Aldo will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Aldo may do so to the Canadian Red Cross, #340, 1311 - 2nd Street North, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 3L1.
