1943 - 2012

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Camille Alexander announces his passing on Monday, April 23, 2012 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 68 years of age.

Camille was born on May 10, 1943 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho and he was a member of the Kootenai Tribe in Idaho. He worked in the fruit orchards in his younger years. Camille enjoyed singing and drumming and he loved attending pow wows.

He is survived by his brother Dominic Alexander (Florence Alexander), his sister Mary Dekker (Henk Dekker), as well as numerous nieces and nephews and relatives in Canada and the United States. He was predeceased by his parents Eli Alexander and Nancy Alexander (nee Francis).

A wake for Camille will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 5:00 pm at 4600 - Mission Road. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012at 11:00 am at the St. Eugene Church. Dinner will follow with the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Camille may do so to the: Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Cranbrook Unit, #101, 105 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2M1.
