Obituary of Roger Peter Parent

Roger Peter Parent 1929 - 2017 Roger Parent passed away at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Roger was born on June 10, 1929 in St. Genevieve, Manitoba. For most of his career he managed McKenzie and Fraser, one of the original wholesalers in New Westminster, BC. Roger's main passions were old cars and playing music - mainly old time fiddle and guitar. Roger was the original founder of "The Blue Mtn Boys" in the 50s and later upon relocating to Cranbrook, was known for entertaining, along with other local musicians, at senior's dances and resident homes. Roger was predeceased by his wife, and the love of his life, Rose Delima "Del" Parent, and by their eldest child Ron. He is survived by his son Lionel Parent. Roger's memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Christ the Servant Catholic Church in Cranbrook.
