Maria Rosa Graziano
1939 - 2017
It is with profound sorrow that the family of Maria Rosa Graziano announces her passing on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Dr. F.W. Green Memorial Home in Cranbrook, BC.
Maria was born on March 9, 1939 in Ruvo Del Monte, Potenza, Italy. She immigrated to Canada, and settled in Cranbrook in 1961. In 1962 she married the love of her life Mike Graziano and they began their life together.
The loves of her life were her family and spending times with her grandkids.
Rosa didn't have a regular job, but had a harder job staying home to care for her family which she treasured. She took pride keeping her home, and caring for her family. She would do anything for them. Rosa loved playing cards with friends, playing boccie, loved to cook and spending time tending to her flowers and garden.
Rosa is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Mike, her children Toni Belton (Terry) and grandkids Matthew and Tori, of Langley, BC, Gerry (Sandra) and grandchild Dylan of St. Albert, Alberta, her siblings Vince Sacino (Irma), Joe Sacino (Antonietta) both of Cranbrook, BC, Carmela Briuolo (Rocco) of Qualicum Beach, BC, and Armando Sacino (Anna) of Italy, and many nieces and nephews in British Columbia, Alberta and Italy. Rosa was predeceased by her son Donato (1978), her father Donato Sacino (1986), her mother Filomena Sacino (1966) and her brother Gerado (1953).
A funeral mass for Rosa will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cranbrook on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honour can be made to the: Kidney Foundation of Canada, 200, 4940 - Canada Way, Burnaby, BC, V5G 9Z9.
Our family would like to send many thanks for the care she received to Dr. Brown and the 3rd floor Nursing Staff during her stay there, and Dr. Andreas and the nursing staff at the Dr. F. W. Green Memorial Home during her final days.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
