Obituary of Margareta Woodford

Margareta Woodford "Margaret" (nee Giesbrecht) 1941 - 2017 It is with the deepest sorrow that the family of Margaret Woodford announce her passing on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Cranbrook, BC at 76 years of age. Margaret was born on October 12, 1941 at home in Saskatchewan. Margaret and her husband Bill farmed in Rose Prairie, BC from 1967 to 1995 and moved to Kimberley to enjoy their retirement. Margaret enjoyed growing flowers, baking, sewing, keeping house, doing puzzles, going on walks and picnics, spending time with Bill and tracking the Canucks statistics and players as well as faithfully watching their games. It brought Margaret great joy to keep in touch with her many siblings and children and travelledto visit whenever she could. Margaret is survived by her husband Bill Woodford; her daughter Deborah Ann Plett (Graham) and their children Nicholas (Stephanie), Mitchel, Annika, Jonas and Ellis; her daughter Julie Kaethler (Philip) and their children Ethan and Aidan; and her four sisters Helen, Ann, Eva and Nettie. Margaret was predeceased by three brothers, four sisters, and her infant daughter Marlene Alice Woodford who was born and also passed away on June 20, 1968. A memorial service for Margaret will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
