1970- 2012

It is with great sorrow that the family of Jennifer Leigh Lindsay announce her passing on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 42 years of age.

Jenny was born on May 8, 1970 in Merritt, British Columbia. Her most important passion was family and her role as a mother. Ryan was her sunshine. Jen loved children and found a career, helping and supporting, as a youth counsellor. She always had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews. She made time to help and listen to anyone. Along her journey she had a gift that made many friends and connections in her life.

Jen was a very creative and a fantastic artist. She expressed herself through drawing and painting, decorating, cooking and a flair for life. She loved camping, rafting, golfing, skiing and loved to do any recreation that involved her family. Gardening and cooking became true loves that she excelled at.

During her final years of health struggles Jen was gifted from her angel Hali. Both Hali and Denise spent endless hours sharing and providing support.

The exceptional care Jen received at Joseph Creek made her final years very comfortable. Along the way she developed many meaningful relationships with staff and residents. They will miss her.

Jen is survived by her husband Bill, her son Ryan, her mom Denise, Nana Shaw, her brothers Steven (Debbie), James Ashley, David (Coleen), Lindsay, Tianna, Jennelle, Brad (Janice), Emma and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial service for Jen will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 am at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. Her Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Jen may do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the excellent care Jen received from Dr. MacDonald , as his care went far beyond just a patient.
