So sad to say goodbye to this wonderful woman. I wish I had known her as a younger woman but I over the last 10 years I was blessed to know this intelligent, astute, loving and generous woman. She always had a twinkle in her eye especially when children were around and especially when she had baby on her lap I think she saw all the possibilities in those kids and that brought her joy. Thank you Betty, my life is better for having known and loved you.

Mrs. Mckersie was truly one of my favorite and most memorable teachers. She was kind, creative, and always interesting; she commanded respect from her students by always encouraging us to try harder, to be curious and never give up. I owe my math skills to her multiplication drills! If she cracked the whip, it was always for our own good (she told us). Brian, Val, Vivian and David, I remember your mom always had a twinkle in her eye. Please know that we are thinking of you, your families, & your dad. Mary Meister (Kennedy) & family
