Obituary of Vernon Arthur Bostock

Vernon Arthur Bostock June 5, 1936 - April 28, 2018 Vern passed away peacefully in Invermere surrounded by his family. Vern was born in Piapot, Saskatchewan. He was the 7th child born to Thomas and Phoebe Bostock. When Vern was 9 years old his parents moved to Ranch in Rock Creek, BC with him and his 7 siblings. In 1961 Vern moved to Invermere where he met Susan Broadfoot. They were married in 1962. Together, they raised their two children Allen and Sandi and enjoyed their grandchildren and great grandsons. Vern loved his family. Camping, hunting, fishing and prospecting were a few of his passions. Vern is survived by his loving family who will miss him dearly; wife Susan Bostock, Allen (Perdita) Bostock, Sandi (Gregg) Hemmelgarn, grandchildren Jordan, Brianna and Tannis Hemmelgarn and great grandsons Jesse and Liam Hemmelgarn. Vern requested no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the CNIB. Vern has left us; but really, he's just out fishing… Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
