1939 - 2012

It is with great sorrow that the family of Clifford Earl Moggey announces his passing on Monday, June 11, 2012 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 73 years of age.

Earl was born on March 29, 1939 in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a 27 year Fraternal Order Of Eagles Member. Earl worked for 28 years as a heavy duty mechanic, was a classic car enthusiast and an NHRA drag racing fan. He was lovingly known as a perfectionist in an imperfect world.

Earl leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 50 years Elaine; son Chris (Barb) Moggey of Calgary, Alberta; daughter Kim Killins of Penticton, BC; grandchildren Kari Killins (Thomas Coe) of Victoria, BC; Sheila and Sean Killins of Penticton, BC; great grandson Robert Coe of Victoria, BC; sister Dianne Lenton of Portage La Prairie, MB; mother-in-law Marguerite Moffatt of Carberry, MB, sister-in-laws Lynne (Kirby) Outhwaite of Outlook, SK; Colleen Moffatt of Winnipeg, MB; nieces and nephews Jo-Anne Olson, Bev (Fred) St. Goddard, Ron Outhwaite, Shelley Outhwaite, Regan Morrison, Curtis (Rosemarie) Moggey and Angela (Garth) Hemming. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Ethel, brother Craig, brother-in-law Roy Lenton, father-in-law Byron Moffatt, nephews Kyle Morrison and Dean Olson.

A memorial service for Earl will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 1:30 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. His Interment will be for immediate family only. At 2:30 pm, a reception for Earl will be held at the Fraternal Order Of Eagles Hall (715 - Kootenay Street North). Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Earl may do so to the: Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Cranbrook Unit, #101, 105 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2M1 or the: British Columbia Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6H 2K2.
