1920 - 2010

The family of Laurette Marie Laprise wish to announce her peaceful passing at the F. W. Green Memorial Home in Cranbrook on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 90 years of age. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday on Sunday, April 25th with her friends.

Laurette loved entertaining and spending time with family and friends. She was a volunteer with the Catholic Woman's League (CWL) for over 50 years and just recently received her 50 year pin for this accomplishment. She enjoyed her volunteer work with the CWL tremendously. Laurette also loved to spend time attending to her garden and attending St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

Laurette is survived by her 3 siblings: Marie Kruger, Sister Cecile and Hilarion (Cybil) Laprise, and will be remembered lovingly by her 20 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece. She was predeceased by her brother Maurice, her brother Phillippe Laprise and her sister Aurore Hamel and her brother Father George Laprise .

Prayers will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. The Rite of Christian Burial for Laurette will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11:00 am. Her Interment will follow the service at the Catholic Cemetery in Cranbrook.
