Kathy was my cousin and although I didn't grow up with her she was always that friendly and thoughtful person that would visit us occasionally when I was a child. I will never forget her beautiful smile and kind heart. R.I.P. Kathy, may God bless you and your family. Tony and Marina Weinberger

I am so sad to hear of Kathy's death. She has always been a woman of authentic faith. One who never pretended to be anyone different than who she really was. She accepted her life, her struggles, her joys and the deep challenges of ongoing health issues with such honesty, openness and wise perspective. I will always admire her. I will miss her.

I am so going to miss this lovely lady. She was so loving and kind but had a wicked sense of humour. I worked for a number of years with Kathy and always saw her after in Hot Shots. So much fun, so caring, so bright and her light is gone way to soon. With thoughts and love to Kathy's family.....we will remember her! Sandy Zeznik

Kathy was a big part of my Pinewood family. Kathy and I "shared" a classroom as my Student Services office was in her Kindergarten room at Pinewood. Her deep love of children was evident and she cared for those kinders as if they were her own. I saw Kathy lots after she retired as we haunted the same coffee shops. She could be found on many mornings reading her books and/or newspaper at Max's Place or Hot Shots or enjoying a meal with family and friends. She will be missed. On behalf of her teaching colleagues in Cranbrook, I pass on our thoughts to you, her precious family.
