Trevor Shawn Troyan
"Trev"
1970 - 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and best friend Trevor Troyan on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Koocanusa Lake. Trevor was 48.
Trevor was born on July 9, 1970 in Nelson, BC. He was a true outdoorsman and loved hunting, quading, snowmobiling, gardening, farming and cooking for his family and friends.
Trevor was always willing to face new challenges head on and was always lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbours and co-workers.
In his spare time when he wasn't at work you could most likely find him with his best friend Rick lending a hand at Rick's Fine Meats. But, his favourite spot in the whole world was on his acreage with his wife and animals.
Trevor graduated from Selkirk College in Nelson, BC. He was a journeyman machinist and travelled across North America and as far away as India for Caliper Machine & Hydraulics. He was a valuable asset to the company and his boss Mike as he often worked above and beyond what was expected of him. He also enjoyed working on projects designing and cutting steel on a CNC Plasma Cutter; often late into the night. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
Trevor is survived by his wife Lisa of 28 years, his loving mom Fran, his brother Steven and family, his brother Brad (Denise) and family, his mother-in-law Elaine, brother-in-law Ken, brother-in-law Allan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Trevor was predeceased by his father Francis "Ton", his brother Dwayne and his grandparents.
A celebration of Trevor's life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Cranbrook Alliance Church with a reception to follow. The family would be pleased to have all donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Okanagan/Kootenays Area Office, #4, 1551 - Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, British Columbia, V1Y 9M9.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
