Obituary of Victor Oswald Hayward

1928 - 2010

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Victor Oswald Hayward announces his passing on August 22, 2010 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 82 years of age after a short battle with cancer.

Victor was born on August 1, 1928. He loved sports, especially golf and curling, and was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Victor leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife Eleanor; his son Terry (Vicki) of Medicine Hat, Alberta; his grandson Mark (Michelle) of Prince George, British Columbia; his granddaughter Kelly of Edmonton, Alberta; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial tea gathering in honour of Victor will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A private family Interment will be held in Westlawn Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Victor may do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.
