Obituary of Caroline Immaculatta Spence
Please share a memory of Caroline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Caroline Immaculatta (nee Curcio) Spence
Caroline Immaculatta Spence fittingly entered the garden with Jesus on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the age of 93.
Born September 8, 1925 in Blairmore, Alberta, she was the second child to Dominic and Assunta Curcio. She moved to Kimberley in 1948, with her late husband William A Spence, where she worked at Watkins School, raised her family, and made countless friends. She leaves behind her children Regan (Carmon) Spence and Melanie (Raymond) Blackwell, and grandchildren Kyle (Heather) Spence, Shayna (Mitch) Spence, Cheyenne (Tate) Spence, William (Michelle) Blackwell, Caralee (Ty) Anderson, and Michael Blackwell as well as four special great-grandchildren: Lane, Charlee, Adrien, and Olivia. She is also lovingly remembered by her numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends.
She is remembered for amazing meals, countless volunteer hours, and fearless confrontations with local bears. Caroline lived a life of faith, she enjoyed spending time with her family, fellowship through meals shared, and welcoming others into her home and life. She truly considered everyone a member of her family. We are so lucky to have had time with a woman who not only taught us lessons but lived every lesson she taught.
A service will be held in her memory on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Kimberley United Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Kimberley United Church.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Service.
