Dear Florence, Darcy and family...I am deeply saddened to hear of Roy passing away. It's over 30 years now since I first planted my feet on Ta Ta Creek soil in the first of several visits to you all. I can still see Roy sitting in his chair, remote control in hand, while the 3 of us gasbagged around the kitchen table...poor Roy must really have wondered why in the hell he let this damn Aussie in to his house...hahahaha. He took me fishing at the beautiful White Swan Lake, mad sure I got to see many moose and tried to kill me driving up to the snowline of the Rockies that first summer I was there. He was cool as a cucumber but I was convinced we were going to die.....hahahahaha. Such wonderful memories I have. Sending all my love as always...Scott xxxxx

Dear Florence,
Through Clarence Uhll (the accordion player at the Pines) I just learned that Roy had passed away. I know this will leave a big hole in your heart, but I also know that your wide circle of close friends will help fill this gap. Take good care of yourself.
With heartfelt Sympathy, Barrie Foster.

Roy and I lived near each other in "French Town" went right through school together. We sat side-by-side when Blarchmont School opened. Good pal of mine. Sorry to hear he's gone Florence. Think of you and he often, always with good memories. Not sure if he is in this picture, taken of our Grade One Class, Chapman Camp School. I'm the kid 3rd from right with finger on the ground. All us French Town kids were "well-grounded" Ted Campbell

I remember how much fun Roy had when he and my Dad roped calves at Rankins arena at Wasa many years ago. Hope he finds his good ol Baldy horse in heaven. Sincere sympathies from the Canning kids
