I have fond memories of Len when he was first stationed in Prince George in the late 70's. He was my Dad's recruit. We used to go on fishing trips together and I remember him letting me sit on his knee and drive his red Chrysler Lebaron on the back roads leading to one of the remote lakes we were going fishing at. (I was about 5 or 6 at the time) He had a big heart and a great sense of humor. RIP Len.

I met Len in the late 70's when he came to Prince George as a shy quiet recruit, out of Depot. Len worked with me for a couple of weeks and I soon learned that he had a quick mind and a great sense of humour. However, with transfers in the RCMP and the passing of years you tend to lose contact.
About 20 years later I ran into Len in "G" Division while he had a stop over in Yellowknife. Several years later, after I retired and moved to Cranbrook, we again renewed old acquaintances.
Upon Len's retirement we would meet at McDonalds for coffee and "solve the World's problems". I'll always remember Len for his honest opinion, quick wit and dry sense of humour.
Len you were a Policeman's policeman and a good friend. May God be with you my friend.

Diane, Christopher and Shawn,
I started my career with Len in 1995, by far he was one of the greatest leaders I have been around. His guidance was amazing. I have so many fond memories of Len and his family. Whether Len was scolding me or praising me he always did it professionally and with a ton of compassion. I always remembering him staying after his shift ended to make sure all his employees returned to the detachment safe. He opened his home and his friendship to all. Len's style of mentorship was something I always tried to emulate. It was a privledge working with him, getting to know his family, coaching hockey with him, and calling him a friend. The praise could continue forever.
It truly saddens me to know Len has passed, however, he has had a tremendous impact on a plethora of people, he truly made a difference!
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sullivan family.

Len was the nicest neighbor I know. We often spent time at each others curbside chatting about fishing and how to get the lawn looking smart. His grass is nicer. Last week we ran into each other as (we often did in the forest) and were excited about the blue birds returning to nest at the first lake, and discussed the difference between a Stellar's Jay and a Blue Jay. We will miss him. Diane, you chose a good one. So sorry for your loss.
