Kimberly Ann Marr, our beloved 'Kimmer' passed away suddenly June 5th , 2019 in Cranbrook, BC with her beloved Randy by her side.
Kim was born July 21, 1960 in Kingston, Ontario to Mary Ellen Smith Bessant and Dave Bessant. She is survived by her loving husband Randy, siblings Keith, Anita, Liz Eddy and Kathy, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and the extended family she embraced upon her marriage to Randy.
Kim grew up in Marten River where she swam, fished and caught frogs and snakes. Upon completion of high school, Kim moved to Calgary and started working in pubs and eventually went to work with the City of Calgary.
In the early 90's, Kim moved to Burnaby and started with BC Hydro in 1992 as an apprentice, one of the first women in the trade. Kim was proud of her work accomplishments.
Upon Kim's retirement, she moved to Eagles' Nest Resort on Moyie Lake. She quickly fell in love with the community. Kim met her beloved Randy around this time. They married Sept 8, 2011 in the small town of Moyie.
Kim and Randy enjoyed their retirement together at Eagles' Nest. Recently adding a new family member Charlie, the much spoiled Coton de Tulear puppy.
For many years Kim and Randy were snowbirds enjoying Mesa Arizona celebrating happy hour. Kim had a passion for gardening, her yard an explosion of color every spring and summer. Kim had a kind, helpful spirit always offering to help friends, neighbors and her entire community.
A service will be held for Kim Thursday June 13, 2019 at 2pm at McPherson's Funeral Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Covenant House, Vancouver, BC, care of Kim Marr.
