Salah has been part of our Better at Home family since February 2014. He loved connecting with other local people through our programs...and took a real shining to the younger people, whom he said filled him with youthful vitality! He would visit our practicum students as often as he could at the office or after our lunches. He enjoyed hosting volunteers and contractors who gave a hand with yard work and small projects, and regularly dropped by the office to pay a visit to a few favourite staff members. He will be remembered for his gentleness, humour, humility, amazingly positive and resilient outlook, kindness, and love of travel, life, family and friends. Salah shared so many stories. He was an obviously proud father and grandfather, and was truly interested in what others had to say. He, his "GQ smile" and warm hugs will be missed. Thank you Sacha, Laurel, Ned & Melissa for sharing him with us. <3
