Loretta and family….we are so very sorry to hear about Stan's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this difficult time. We lost touch and only found out recently.
Stan was a wonderful human being and he will be greatly missed. We will always cherish the time that our families spent together through the years. So many memories of hiking trips, camping trips, music, and celebrations full of laughter and love. I can picture our Dad and Stan entertaining the universe with songs about lessoned learned "Out Behind the Barn" in a place "Where There Will be No Setting Sun".
Our heartfelt condolences to all.

I have many fond memories of Stan while visiting Cranbrook and Wycliffe. From the old house to the new one in Cranbrook. I am thankful for Stan's kindness while I was there visiting. Stan always had knowledge to share, a very intelligent and smart man, I was always blown away by how much he knew and how much he had experienced. Please accept my deepest condolences to all of the family and friends he touched. It's never easy losing someone you love, especially a parent and/or Husband.

Dear Loretta and family. So sorry to hear Stan passed away. I had the privilege of working with Stan back in the ARDA Project days with the BC Forest Service and held a great deal of respect and regard for his knowledge and incredible memory especialy when it came to numbers. More recently it was always a pleasure to bump into him at the ICE games and have our chat. He will be missed....
My condolences, Barb Fisher

I have no memories to share. What I can share, though, is that I know the feeling of losing a much-loved father. It's a hard thing to accept and a hard thing to live past. But accept, we finally do. Live past, we are here to speak of it. Life has changed, but your father remains the same. My deep condolences to all who are terribly missing this man, especially to Mavis and family.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Wales family upon Stans passing, I had the pleasure of meeting Stan when he took temporary employment at Millar & Brown a number of years ago. I enjoyed seeing him at the Kootenay Ice games, always with a friendly greeting.

To Loretta and family: We were very sad to hear the news of Stan's passing. So sad to read that he suffered from cancer. I have fond memories of our times together when Stan was curling with Dunc, Mario and Dave in the curling playoffs. I had been so excited when you and Stan were looking at places at Boulder Creek but you didn't end up buying here. We are actually going to move to the Kootenay Street Village when it opens.
Much love to you and all your family. Love from Dave and Karen Mader

Eldon, so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I lost my Dad to Cancer last summer. I just want you to know my Dad curled with Stan, and had may meetings on the rails to trails. He always had high comments about your Dad. Pass our condolences to Dick and Charlie.

Hello Loretta and family... very sorry to hear about Stan's passing. I had not seen him for several years, but it is surprising how many times I would be doing something and think "I bet Stan would have the answer to this." In fact this past weekend, before I heard the news, my son and I were talking about building something and I was telling him how I learned from Stan Wales how to measure to make sure a corner is square. He was a smart guy and a great person... He will be missed. Condolences to all. I will plan to be there in September for the farewell. --- Lee Hart - Calgary
