Obituary of Donna Margaret Vanlerberg

1922 - 2012

It is with great sorrow that the family of Donna Margaret Vanlerberg announces her passing on Monday, August 6, 2012 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 90 years of age.

Donna was born in Melville, Saskatchewan on May 22, 2012. She loved the word of God, the sacraments and her faith community. She also loved clubs, parties, luncheons and movies! Desert was always at the top of her menu. She will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends.

Donna is survived by her daughters Gloria Jean (Simon) Maxwell, Joanne (Wally) Hackett and Donna (Bob) McRitchie; her sons: Mark (Cindi) Young, Martin (Gail) Vanlerberg and Rocky (Shelly) Vanlerberg, as well as 45 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Lowell Young, her granddaughter Kendra Young, grandson Jeshorun Young and her second husband Frank Vanlerberg.

A Visitation for Donna will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Christ The Servant Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 and Prayers for Donna will be held at 8:00 pm at Christ The Servant Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm at Christ The Servant Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook on Thursday, August 9, 2012. Her Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane, Washington on Monday, August 13, 2012. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Donna may do so to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9.
