So very sorry to hear of Bus' passing. We lived across 30th Ave from him for almost 18 years, and have many fond memories of chats at the end of our respective drive-ways, shovelling snow, sharing a scotch, telling stories about his years at Woolworth's or the prairies, or sharing some Christmas baking. He took such amazing care of his house and yard, even when he was taking care of Elva, that he constantly inspired us to do the same. In later years, our kids would always enjoy his slow transformation to Santa every Christmas, his white beard adding to the already-existinng twinkle inn his eye. Bus was there for us when we first moved in, and he was always there to talk with. It was a very moving experience to be in Bus' living room to toast his son Brian the day he passed away.Bus will be sorely missed.
