Obituary of William Robert Murley

William passed away on October 19, 2006 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at the age of 86.
Born November 22, 1919 in Creston, Newfoundland. William moved to British Columbia in 1980. He was the Director of Extension Services for the College of Fisheries for several years. William proudly served his country overseas during WWII with the RAF, 125 Newfoundland Squadron.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Iris May (nee Ash), sons Ken (Valerie), Marysville, B.C., Alan (Michelle), Olympia, WA, Robert (Shan), Chilliwack, B.C., Barry (Gloria), Abbotsford, B.C., daughter Elaine (Carson) Noftle, Abbotsford and 28 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers Wallace (Irene), Ontario, Joe (Joyce), Ontario, Chet (Shirley), Newfoundland and sisters Pearl Rogers, Isabel Crocker, Ruby (Harold) Hancock, Newfoundland and Sue (Cornie) Tessman, Ontario as well as his sister-in-law Vera Newman, Swansea, Wales and brother-in-law Ken Ash, Wolverhampton, England.
William is predeceased by his parents John and Jemima (Brushett), infant grandson Alan Murley, brothers; Samuel, Ambrose, Gordon, Levi, Willis and sisters Ella, Julia and Jeanette.Services were held at 1:00 pm on Monday October 23, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cranbrook, British Columbia. Interment followed in the Marysville Cemetery, Marysville, BC.
