Obituary of Mary Victoria Lancaster

1928 - 2010

Mary Victoria Lancaster of Cranbrook, British Columbia passed away suddenly on September 1, 2010 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 82.

Mary will be greatly missed by her daughter Brenda (Greg), grandchildren: Kristina (Joseph),Tyler (Monique); great grandchildren: Shawn and Aulana, her brother-in-law Walter "Walley" as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Bill, father George, mother Nellie, brother Mike, sister Kay, nephews: Norman, Richard and Jackie and niece Kellie.

Mary was born in Red Deer, Alberta on July 6, 1928. In 1949 she moved to Banff, Alberta where she met her loving husband William "Bill" Lancaster. As a devoted wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother she was always active. When Mary did find time, she enjoyed many activities such as camping, fishing, gardening, writing poetry and having a good ole' laugh with friends and family.

Mary's smile and laugh had a warm feeling and she always greeted people with open arms. Mary will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Cremation and a private family service were Mary's request. She will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband Bill.

"May the winds of love blow softly on a quiet peaceful spot,

where the ones we love are sleeping; and will never be forgot."

Memorial donations in Mary's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choosing.
