passed away at home after a bravely fought battle with cancer, on April 8th, 2007 in Cranbrook, British Columbia, at the age of 71. Shirley worked for BC Tel for many years and retired in May of 1982. She volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society for several years. When her health was better she liked to skate and cross country ski. Most of all she loved to travel and play the organ. Shirley will be greatly missed by her husband John G. "Bud" MacIntyre, son Gerry (Linda) MacIntyre, daughter Wendy Pompey, grandchildren Quincy Pompey, Alison and Jason Tozer, Jon MacIntyre, Eryn and Cameron Geddes as well as numerous aunts and cousins in Invermere.

She was predeceased by mother Annie Isabel Hillier, 1959 age 54, years and father Fredrick William Hillier, 1968, 64 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday April 21, 2007 at McPherson's Funeral Chapel, Cranbrook, British Columbia. Interment at a later date.
