George passed away on April 14, 2007, in Cranbrook, British Columbia at the age of 86.
George is survived by his son Gordon (Karen), 4 daughters Bev (Dennis), Wendy (Karl), Judy (Doug), Joy (Alvin), nephews, nieces and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Bert (June), sisters Mary (Joe), Ann & Rose.He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy of 57 years on May 8, 2006, his brothers Ben, Henry, Joseph and sisters Louise and Clara.Born in Denzil, Saskatchewan, October 23, 1920 George and his family moved to Meadow Lake SK where he grew up. Moving out to British Columbia in his late teens, George served in WWII in the artillery division. He worked at Kootenay Forest Products in Nelson until his retirement in 1985.He enjoyed the great outdoors and spent many years hunting in the surrounding mountains.George spent numerous hours designing and making cedar chests, antler tables, horn crib boards and hundreds of fabric covered coat hangers for each child and grandchild.
After retirement George settled in to be the neighbourhood handyman for all the widowed ladies in his area.

Our Dad, Grandpa, Friend, Brother and Uncle will always be loved and greatly missed.
The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at McPherson's Funeral Chapel, Cranbrook, British Columbia.
