Please share a memory of Vernetta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On the night of April 28, at about eleven, Nettie slipped out of bed, traded her nightclothes for a red blouse, white slacks, white blazer, pair of red high heels, matching dangly earrings and went off into the moonlight.

Mom was born June 9, 1915 in Boundary Creek, Alberta. Predeceased by her husband Vic (1987). She leaves to mourn her children: sons Jesse Pinchak and Dick Griffith and daughter Dolly (Angel King) Pinchak. Her grandchildren Jason, Dustin, Sara, Devon, Michael, Joe and Vern and her great grandchildren Ryan, Kyra, Kaylee, Christina, Nathan, Victoria, Shyre, Thorin and Ash.

Mom was the last remaining member of her family - predeceased by her parents Frank and Ruth Jessop, Chateau, Montana, her brothers Jack, Jesse, Robert and George Jessop, and sisters Sylvia Simpson, Irene Johnson and Bert Calder.

Family was what mattered most in life. Mom loved family and friends unconditionally. She was family (Mom or Aunt Nett) to many. A family dinner was held every Sunday at 6 PM sharp. None of us wanted to miss those home-cooked meals and delicious cakes and pies. Nett will be remembered as being feisty, spirited, generous, kind, loving and also with the patience of a gnat. She had two speeds-fast and faster."A Mother holds your hand for a short time but she holds your heart forever" We love you Mom and will always miss you. And she said, "Don't forget to thank" The wonderful care from the nurses in the Renal Care Unit, Doctors Scheibenstock, Orth and Zhang.

A special "Thank You" to Roy and Pascal at Swing Street for the special omelette - anytime, and to Heidi and her staff for accommodating the "Buffalo Burger" lady all the time. And Mom says, "Thank you, darlin" to Jack Karsten - good friend and neighbour.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday May 2, 2007 at McPherson's Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
