Please share a memory of Ervin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ervin Richard Betker. Born in Leask, Saskatchewan to Alfred and Louise Betker, he was the oldest of 5 children. Moving to Saskatoon as a young man he met and married the love of his life, Hennie Betker. Life just got richer for the Betkers with the addition of three healthy sons to round out their family. Moving from Saskatchewan to Alberta and finally settling in Cranbrook where he has lived for the past 37 years. It was here in Cranbrook that Erv formed many life long friendships. Known to family and friends alike as "Big Erv", this man was bigger than life. He was the least judgemental person, never saying an unkind word about anyone. He was a rock to his family. Anyone needing help with absolutely anything need only give him one quick call and he would soon be at your house. He was a wonderful husband, father, pappa, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Ervin was predeceased by his father Alfred Betker and mother Louise Betker; Left to mourn their loss are his loving wife, Hennie, sons Jeff (Robyn), Brian (Sheri), Mike (Robin), grandkids, Ben, Daniel, Brady, Abigail, Isabel; also Jaycey and Kelci.
