Dear Karin, Michael, Daryl and family; We are so sorry. This has been a sad and terribly unfair illness. Reuben will be missed by so many; each of us has our own special memories. When I think of Reuben itâ??s his smile and his quiet but warm and friendly manner that comes to mind. Always there for support and a warm embrace. He was a wonderful man. I'm so very sorry to hear of Uncle Reuben's passing our thoughts & prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. It's tough to write this as Uncle Reuben was an amazing person and I will cherish all the great times & memories we had over the years taking the float to all those towns. I'm also going to miss the hockey rivalry we had over the years as well as his great smile & sense of humour. I am grateful that we were able to come visit you & you got to meet our new son Keegan just a few weeks ago! You will be truly missed Uncle Reuben but definitely never forgotten!!!!Love Kerri, Keegan & Mike

Karin and family.............as many times as I have met you is ten times as many that I have met Reuben, however, that does not mean that he was not the nicest, kindest, sweetest, most sociable, most courteous man that I have ever met, who always had a kind greeting to anybody that he met that was associated with you. His life is in a new place where he will be equally repsected, and rightfully so. Our Thailand sympathies and sincerest condolences are extended to you and your family on a sad loss of a very nice man.Steve, Da, Gick and Matthew

Our love and condolences go out to Karin, Michael, Daryl and their families. Our thoughts go back to the 70's when we were part of a rather close-knit neighbourhood. We always tried to connect with the Penners whenever we returned to Cranbrook !Reuben had this wonderful subtle sense of humour and hugs that were HUGS ! He was a great Cranbrook booster. We were never sure who was the greater hockey fan..Karin or Reuben !!!His ready smile and sparkling eyes now look down on all of his family ! Ursula, Rex, Mark & Dean

On behalf of our group here in Kelowna I wish to pass on our condolences to you, Karen, and your family. Reuben etched a special mark in all of our hearts from day 1 and every time his name came up in our discussions a "feel great" smile would surface on the faces in the room. He had a way of bringing the best out of me which made our work realtionship something to cherish. I reminise on the dinner meetings with Reuben where I some what felt I was with " Norm" of the TV show Cheers....where every one new him and had kind words to pass on....he truly touched people who knew him.... a trait the very few people in our industry exhibit...something that take a lifetime to earn. I am going to miss him. My prayers are with you..Take care. James
