It is with great sorrow that the family of Irene Meldora McNair announce her passing on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 96 years of age in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Irene was born on May 24, 1912 in Whitla, Alberta. She leaves to mourn her passing her two children: Fran (Ken) Widdoes of Cranbrook, British Columbia and Roderick (Sharon) of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her parents: Nels and Annie Quick, son Charles and daughter Joan.

A memorial tea for Irene will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Senior Citizens Hall in Cranbrook (125 - 17th Avenue South). Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honour of Irene may do so to the: East Kootenay Foundation For Health, 13 - 24th Avenue North, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 3H9.
