1930 - 2010
It is with great sorrow that the family of Paul Denis Rouleau announces his passing on Friday, September 10, 2010 in Kimberley British Columbia at 80 years of age.
Paul was born on September 10, 1930 in Kimberley, British Columbia and he was an avid ski jumper in his teenage years breaking a few records and a few pairs of skis. His love of the outdoors, camping, huckleberry picking, hunting, snowmobiling and fishing incite many fond memories and stories. He worked at Vancouver Transit for 6 years and then at Sullivan Mine (Cominco) for 28 years. After retirement golf became a passion and he achieved a hole in one on September 23, 1991 on hole #7 on the Kimberley Golf Club course. Paul enjoyed helping friends and family when in need.
Paul is survived by Louis and Darlene, Debbie and Harm, Donny, Lorne and Tracy; grandchildren: Travis, Melissa, Darren, Danielle, Tiffany, Myles, Stephanie and Alissa; sisters: Pauline Taylor of Spokane and Annette Hughes of Kelowna. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Juliette, his brother Raymond, his nephew Ronnie and his beloved wife Rose.
A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley at 3:00 pm. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in his honour may do so to the: Pines Special Care Home, 386 - 2nd Avenue, Kimberley, British Columbia, V1A 2Z8.
