Obituary of Dwain Bud Falke

Dwain Bud Falke passed away June 13, 2006 at the Cranbrook Regional Hospital at the age of 80 years. He was born February 28, 1926 in Stanton, Nebraska.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Betty, 2 sons David (Carolyn) of Omaha, Nebraska, Dale (Cecillia) of Kimberley, BC., daughter Sheri (Miles) Anderson of Fir Mountain, Saskatchewan, grandchildren Jeremy (Sherry), Allyson and Patrick Falke, Omaha, Nebraska, Michelle (Gerry) Larocque, Lindsay, Calgary Alberta, Everett, Sexsmith Alberta; Quinn, Carlee, Tori and Kacy Anderson of Fir Mountain, Saskatchewan. Great grandchildren Lauren and Julia. Sister Delores (Bob) Schuchart of Lincoln Nebraska, several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Nancy Falke and brother-in-law Horace Sifuentes also survive him.

Bud was predeceased by his parents Charles and Sadie Falke, brother Marvin and Sister Marjean.

Bud served in the US Navy overseas 1944-46 then worked as a welder at U.P. Railroad before farming in Nebraska. He moved to BC January 25, 1970 having purchased a ranch on Cherry Creek. He retired April 1989 and he enjoyed fishing and RV travelling throughout Canada and lived in his 5th wheel various areas before moving to Kimberley in 2003.

A Funeral Service will be held at McPherson Funeral Chapel in Kimberley, BC on Monday June 19, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Interment in the Kimberley Cemetery.
