BRADFORD, Diane Bernice

Passed away at the Regina General Hospital on Sunday, July 16, 2006 with her family at her side.

She was predeceased by her parents Baron and Agnes Bradford.

Diane is survived by her son, Bradford Pedersen; two sisters Ruth Cameron and Karen (Doug) Barraclough; nine nieces and nephews Heather, Baron, David and Janice Cameron, Cori, Aaron and Wesley Barraclough, Jason McLean and Tracey Apps. She also leaves behind her longtime friend Jim Zepp and little dog Cody.

Diane was born a tiny three and a half pounds in Cranbrook, BC on September 24, 1955. She spent her early years in Creston with her aunt and uncle Esther and Peter Ax before returning to Kimberley where she graduated from Selkirk High School. She received her university education at Notre Dame University in Nelson and at the University of Saskatchewan. She married Garry Pedersen in 1978 and moved to Cabri, SK while pursuing her passion for politics. Her special Valentine, Brad arrived on February 14, 1992. She ran many successful campaigns for the NDP across Canada. Her career allowed her to see all parts of the country as well as others parts of the world. She later went to work for the Saskatchewan government in Regina. She will always be remembered for her sharp mind, great organizational skills and love for her family.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the Kimberley United Church on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, your local chapter.
