The death of David John Thomas Miller, age 77 years, occurred suddenly on August 7, 2006 at Cranbrook, British Columbia.

David was born on December 25, 1928 in Cranbrook. He was a hard worker and spent over thirty years in the forest industry. He then started and ran his own contracting business until he retired at age 65. David kept busy in his retirement by being involved in activities he enjoyed, such as volunteer help for the Cranbrook Girls Bugle Band, a member of the Eagles and woodworking. His life's challenge was cribbage and David even played cribbage in the BC summer and winter games. He loved the outdoors and took special pride in his yard. Left to cherish David's memory are: his wife of 53 years, Margaret; four children: Pat (Earle), David (Jenny), Lynn (Rob), Rick (Judy); eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one sister, Daisy (Guy) as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 11th, 2006 at the Eagle's Hall, Cranbrook, BC.
